<\/p>\nSan Andreas, CA…The County of Calaveras announces that Megan Stedtfeld, County Counsel, has announced her resignation effective December 13, 2019. In announcing her resignation, Mrs. Stedtfeld noted that she has accepted a position with Yolo County and that the decision was very hard to make given her faithful service to Calaveras County for more than 8 years. Chair of the Board, Supervisor Jack Garamendi stated, \u201cMrs. Stedtfeld has been an asset to the citizens of Calaveras County. Her resignation leaves a void in our organization. Megan has been successful in her service to Calaveras County as I am sure she will be in her future endeavors. We wish her and her family well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Board of Supervisors will consider options for filling the position on an interim basis in closed session at the December 10, 2019 meeting. The recruitment for a permanent replacement will begin immediately. It is anticipated this position will be filled by February 2020.<\/p>\n
