A Wisconsin native and Georgia resident, McCutcheon spent years immersing himself in the traditional music of the southern Appalachian Mountains. He is one of the country\u2019s most respected and loved folksingers and a master of a dozen different traditional instruments, from the banjo to the hammer dulcimer. His songwriting has been hailed by critics and singers around the globe. McCutcheon\u2019s 40 recordings have garnered every imaginable honor, and his commitment to grassroots organizing has put him on the front lines of many important issues, from supporting <\/p>\n

\nMcCutcheon is best known for his captivating live performances.
