The purpose of this study was to predict the movement of rural populations across the nation based on desirability of location. Calaveras County ranked 14th and we\u2019re delighted to boast that we\u00a0came in 9 counties ahead of Napa (which was 23rd), and just above Mariposa, home of Yosemite..<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/wonkblog\/wp\/2015\/08\/17\/every-county-in-america-ranked-by-natural-beauty\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-110809\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gocalaveras.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Calaveras-ranking.png\" alt=\"Washington Post Article: Calaveras Ranking\" width=\"600\" height=\"476\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/wonkblog\/wp\/2015\/08\/17\/every-county-in-america-ranked-by-natural-beauty\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Washington Post article<\/a> spurred some news coverage by our local ABC affiliate, News10 Sacramento. This puts Calaveras County in the top 0.45% of desirable counties to live and play in\u2026 something we\u2019re happy to agree with.
