Arnold, CA…Yes, we all know Covid-19 fever is quite literally spreading in certain parts of the globe and in the US. A sneeze can spread a virus up to 6 feet. So what to do? Well you can pray the bug doesn’t find you and self isolate at home and peer out at the world through one of your screens. Or you can head out into the great outdoors, keep a safe distance from all those pesky human petri dishes and naturally boost your immune system with fresh air, sunshine & ski, ride, walk, golf or play with us. All of our counties have less than 20 people per square mile. Your can help keep our local small businesses humming along. Put the old adage of “Sunlight is the best Disinfectant” and put UV to a practical & fun use! Calaveras, Tuolumne, Amador & Alpine counties all have less than 20 people per square mile! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The following is from the CDC…<\/p>\n

You play an important role in protecting yourself, your family, and friends from flu. Flu spreads easily from
\nperson to person. It spreads mainly through droplets that come from a sick person\u2019s nose and mouth when they
\ncough, sneeze, or talk. These droplets can travel up to 6 feet and land in the noses and mouths of people nearby
\nor be inhaled into the lungs. It also can spread when you touch surfaces or objects that have flu germs on them
\nand then touch your nose or mouth. Plan to stay home if you\u2019re sick. By practicing healthy habits, you will be
\ndoing your part to help prevent the spread of flu.<\/p>\n

Take these actions to help slow the spread of flu:
\nGet vaccinated.
\nStay home if you\u2019re sick.
\n\u2212 Keep your distance (6 feet or more) from others at home or if you
\nhave to leave (to visit the doctor\u2019s office).
\nIf you have a fever, stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever
\nis gone without using medicine that lowers fever.
\nCover your coughs and sneezes.
\n\u2212 Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue.
\nThrow away used tissue when you\u2019re done.
\nUse your sleeve or elbow if you don\u2019t have a tissue.
\nWash or sanitize your hands.
\nWash your hands often.
\n\u2212Wash with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (the time it takes
\nto hum the \u201cHappy Birthday\u201d song twice).<\/p>\n

Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if you don\u2019t have soap
\nand water.<\/p>\n

Wash your hands before touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
