Sacramento, CA…Today,\u00a0Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove<\/a>\u00a0(R-Bakersfield)\u00a0<\/em>and members of the California Senate Republican Caucus voted in support of\u00a0Senate Bill 89<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Senate Bill 117<\/a> which will provide additional funding to help assist the fight against COVID-19 and provide funding for the massive school closures.\u00a0 “With these widespread school closures, it is clear that COVID-19 is impacting the daily lives of families and students and that quick legislative action is warranted. Senate Republicans remain committed to supporting first responders, medical professionals, public health officers, and countless others who are on the front lines helping to take care of vulnerable Californians.<\/p>\n
