\nNorthern California Tuesday and Wednesday…<\/p>\n
* Snow: Total accumulations from 3 to 5 inches, locally up to 7
\n inches over higher terrain of the Coast Range and northern
\n Shasta County mountains; 6 to 10 inches possible over the
\n northern Sierra Nevada with locally higher amounts over a foot
\n over the higher Sierra elevations.<\/p>\n
* Timing: Snow increases Tuesday with the heaviest period of snow
\n expected Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night. Snow showers with
\n lighter accumulations on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
* Snow Levels: Generally 3000 to 4000 feet Tuesday, lowering to 1500
\n feet over the Shasta County mountains, to around 3000 feet over
\n the northern Sierra on Wednesday, locally lower at times.<\/p>\n
* Temperatures: Highs dropping into the mid 20s to lower 40s, and
\n overnight lows into the teens and 20s.<\/p>\n
* Winds: Wind gusts 30 to 50 mph at times on Tuesday over the
\n higher Sierra Nevada.<\/p>\n
* Impacts: Snow covered roads, mountain travel delays, possible
