Mark Twain Clinic Patients Can Now Schedule Virtual Visits with their Physician, Adding Convenient and Safe Treatment Options

San Andreas, CA…Mark Twain patients can now schedule virtual visits with their primary and specialty medical care providers as a convenient and safe care option for patients to get high quality care when they need it, without leaving the comfort of their home. Functioning much like a Skype or Facetime call, a virtual visit uses live, secure, and HIPAA compliant video technology to allow patients to directly and securely see and speak with their medical care provider through the convenience of their mobile device. To schedule a virtual visit, please call our scheduling office at 209-754-2968.

During the virtual visit, physicians are able to provide a treatment plan, just as they would for an in-person appointment, including the option to prescribe medication and request follow-up care.

“Mark Twain Clinics are pleased to be able to provide our patients yet another convenient way to improve access to the care they need,” states Primary Care Clinical Medical Director Dr. John Krpan. “Not only will virtual visits allow our patients to consult with their medical care providers without having to leave their home, they also add an additional layer of safety during the current COVID-19 pandemic.”

This is another example of how Mark Twain Clinics have ramped up their virtual care services to help care for patients safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Patients currently experiencing possible symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) should call their primary care physician to determine the best care option for them. Anyone experiencing severe symptoms of a respiratory illness, such as a high fever or difficulty breathing, should call 911.
