Lake Camanche and Lake Pardee to Reopen with Modifications

Amador County, CA – Amador County Public Health has worked in collaboration with Amador County Environmental Health and Calaveras Department of Public Health to approve re-opening of both Lake Camanche and Lake Pardee with modified operations on May 8, 2020 for residents. Both concessionaires, Basecamp Hospitality and Rocky Mountain Recreation Company, in collaboration with East Bay Municipal Utility District, proactively drafted proposals to modify their operations to provide safe access to the lakes.

Their planning collaboration with local Public Health Departments and commitment to clean, safe and sustainable operations will allow boating and fishing while ensuring adequate social distancing. Amador County Public Health will continue to work in concert with Calaveras Department of Public Health in providing guidelines for our local community to safely enjoy shared recreation areas during this pandemic.
