Butte Fire Re-Population Phase II & Road Closures

San Andreas, CA…Repopulation Issues: The county roads and utility companies are working to make the area safe. We are doing everything we can to accommodate evacuees and assisting them back into their homes as soon possible. Repopulation Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 9:00 PM. The following evacuation areas have been lifted and are open to RESIDENTS ONLY: Highway 49 at the Amador county line south to Highway 26, east along Highway 26 to Italian Vista – areas outside of the burned area. 6766, 6800, 6816, 6851, 6961, 6979, 7000 Italian Vista Drive. Residents of 8869 and 8895 Highway 26. The Main Street area of Mokelumne Hill to include: Big Bar Road, Gold Rush Lane, Loan Lane, Sunshine Lane, W. Center Street, Old Toll Road, Miwok Trail, Munoz Road, Victor Court, Campo Seco Turnpike / Mokelumne Hill Campo Seco Turnpike, Sierra Lane, Easy Bird Road, E. Center Street

The following roads in the Angels Camp, Murphys, Avery and Arnold areas: The southwest side of Calaveritas Road from Mountain Ranch Road south to the intersection of Calaveritas and Costa Roads. Cosgrove Road Meacham Ranch Road Haskill Lane Lumpy Lane Bruner Coppello Drive Deer Creek Road Dogtown Road Schmauder Mine Road Gardner Lane French Gulch Road, including the Darby subdivision All areas north and west of Highway 4 along Angels Camp, Murphys, Avery and Arnold are open to San Domingo Road, Sheep Ranch Road, and Esmeralda Roads.

The following subdivisions: Northwood Drive subdivision Lakemont Drive subdivision Meadowmont subdivision Mill Woods and White Pines The following are new road closures: o San Domingo Road between Dogtown Road and Sheep Ranch Road

SAFETY MESSAGE
The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please continue to adhere to road closures and any evacuation warnings or advisories. If you see electrical wires on the ground, stay clear and contact PG&E immediately. Trees and poles with deep charring, particularly if still smoking, should be considered hazardous. Please drive slowly as emergency personnel are in the area. Subject to Change Based on Operational Conditions.
As you re-enter your property and evaluate damage, be aware that hazardous conditions may exist, particularly if a residence or out-building has burned. Hazards may include asbestos, heavy metals, by products or plastic combustion and various other chemicals.

Various agencies will also be involved with the Butte Fire recovery effort and may provide additional assistance to property owners.
