Adventist Health Sonora COVID-19 Update Testing, Triage & Advice Line Available

Sonora, CA…Adventist Health Sonora is providing drive-up COVID-19 screening tests for patients scheduled for surgery who will be admitted to the hospital or for those referred by Tuolumne County Public Health. Testing is available by appointment and may be scheduled by calling 209-536-5166. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms is advised to call their doctor or, if symptoms are severe, to visit the Emergency Department or call 911.

Indian Rock Rapid Care is also available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. To protect other patients and staff, those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are advised to wait in their vehicle upon arrival and call 209-536-6685. Healthcare providers will offer medical care at the patient’s vehicle. Adventist Health Sonora continues to offer its COVID-19 triage and advice line for anyone with concerns about the virus. The triage line is available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and may be reached by calling 209-536-5166. A California State testing site is available in Angels Camp for anyone wishing to obtain a COVID-19 test. Dr. Liza Ortiz, interim Tuolumne County health officer, recommends that individuals who have traveled outside of the county, who interact with the public as part of their job, who work in essential critical infrastructure jobs or who have interacted with people outside of their household get tested for COVID-19.
