Valley Springs & Copperopolis, CA…We just spoke with CAL FIRE TCU’s Emily Kilgore on a Walker Fire Update. They will hold with the 1,000 Acres and zero percent containment overnight. So the next official status update will be probably at 7am in the morning. They are making progress though as firefighters are working hard to get as much line around the fire as they can before an anticipated wind change.

Tomorrow’s temps will also be warmer so what the ground crews can get done overnight will help the prospects for tomorrow. As most of you know all tankers and overhead air attack command plane are on the ground overnight.

Scanner traffic has quieted down significantly that last hour as well.
