Domestic Dispute Call Ends With Empty House Mystery

Twain Harte, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Office…”This morning, just after 7 am, we received a call reporting a domestic dispute between 37-year-old Jay Whittle of Twain Harte, and a female in the middle of Ponderosa Drive in Twain Harte. Jay was reportedly waving a baseball bat during the dispute.

With knowledge Jay was wanted on several felony warrants, deputies responded to the area and developed a perimeter around Jay’s residence. Deputies made announcements anyone inside the residence to come out. Two uninvolved adults and a child exited the house. Both adults stated jay stayed at the house but neither could confirm or deny if Jay, or anyone else, was inside.
More announcements were made without a response. Due to the circumstances, the Crisis Response Unit, consisting of SWAT and CNT (Crisis Negotiations Team), were called to the scene. After several hours of attempted communication without success, the SWAT team entered the residence to find no one inside.

The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available at this time.”
