Jackson, CA…From the Amador County District Attorney’s Office…”Gary Stevens is retiring from the Amador County District Attorney’s Office. Gary has over thirty years law enforcement experience, beginning with the U.S. Border Patrol in the late 80’s, then to Calaveras Sheriff for 13 years, 5 years with the Amador County Sheriff, and the last 12 and a half years as an Investigator with the DA’s Office. Gary worked as a criminal investigator, (crimes against children, officer involved shootings, homicides, etc). Gary was awarded the California District Attorney’s Association ‘Outstanding Investigator of the year’ in 2014, and Amador County Peace Office of the Year in 2014, stemming from a homicide investigation in Sutter Creek. Gary will be returning in a few months as a part time investigator with the DA’s Office. Enjoy retirement Gary!”
