A evacuation warning has been issued for the following areas: Hwy 49N from the Mariposa / Tuolumne County Line to Mary Harrison Mine Rd including Mary Harrison Mine Rd. Hwy 132 from the 4700 Block of J132 (Greeley Hill Rd) to Priest Coulterville including Priest Coulterville Rd. This is a warning only at this time, allowing you to prepare for a potential Evacuation Order should conditions change. No action is required at this time, however if you feel unsafe please leave the area. A Temporary Evacuation Point has been established at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, please stay in your car and wear a mask when contacting Red Cross. UPDATE 6:06 PM ALL Jackass Creek Rd, Jackass Creek Ridge and Jackass Ridge Access are now in Mandatory evacuation. UPDATE 5:00 PM Evacuation warning being issued for Groveland and Pine Mountain Lake EVACUATION WARNING: An evacuation warning indicates that there is a potential threat to life and or property, those who require additional time to evacuate, or those with pets or livestock, should leave now. UPDATE 4:55 PM HWY 120 closed at Jacksonville Rd. “UPDATE 4:30 PM Evacuation center will be the Mariposa Fairgrounds at 5007 Fairgrounds Rd, Mariposa, CA 95338. Power has been shut off from Moccasin through Big Oak Flat to Merrell Rd in Groveland. MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER: now being issued from Hwy 120 at Moccasin through Big Oak Flat, to Merrell Rd in Groveland. This includes Priest Coulterville Rd. Fire acreage at 300 acres and moving to the East with a critical rate of spread.

UPDATE 3:20 PM Evacuation orders are now being given for the community of Moccasin, as well as Marshes Flat and Moccasin Ranch Estates. Hwy 120 at 49 is now closed to through travel. Evacuation warnings now being issued from Hwy 120 at Moccasin through Big Oak Flat, including Priest Coulterville Rd. Animal Control (209) 694-2730 and Team Elite (209) 782-0616 are on standby to assist with animals.

Evacuation order means- There is an IMMEDIATE threat to life and property. This is a lawful order to leave the area immediately, and the area is lawfully closed to public access. An emergency evacuation shelter is being set up at the Manzanita Building at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. We will continue to update as we have further information.

As of 2:30 pm, the fire has reached 50 acres.

We are asking the residents to please evacuate towards La Grange

FIRE ALERT
Firefighters are at scene of a 5 acre vegetation fire near Hwy 49 and Hwy 120 in Moccasin.
Hwy 49 is currently closed at Hwy 120. Please avoid the area to allow fire crews to operate safely and efficiently.
