Arnold, CA…Stop by Calaveras Humane Society’s Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market. THE ADOPTION CENTER IS OPENING A DAY EARLY THIS WEEK! We will be open WED. through SAT., 10 am–5 pm (Sept 30th – Oct. 3rd). Come in and meet Gem and loads of other fabulous feline friends. Our Angels Camp Adoption Center is closed this week, so Arnold is the place to be!

Meet GEM! Yes, that is one very white whisker on this beautiful tortoiseshell girl! Gem is really sweet and relaxed. She came to CHS Foster Care from the shelter in order to make more room for cats that were evacuated due to the Butte Fire. Her estimated age is 2-5 yrs old, so she isn’t old but she isn’t a kitten either—she’s a young adult. Someone cared for her really well, because she loves people and is starting to play with toys as she settles into her foster home. She doesn’t appear to mind other friendly cats if introduced slowly and she seems tolerant of kittens (like a patient babysitter).
