Register Now for Women’s Health Virtual Workshop

San Andreas, CA…Registration is still open for the Oct. 29 ‘Stepping Up for Women’s Health’ virtual workshop addressing physical and mental health issues. Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) is bringing together local experts for the online event to be held via Zoom at 7 p.m. on Thursday. It is easy to register through the MTMC Webpage. Presenters include Gynecologist Ali Parsa, M.D.; Radiologist Pardeep Athwal, M.D.; and Debbie Sellick, Mark Twain Health Care District Board Member. They will cover a variety of topics including Breast Cancer Awareness, Mammograms: Not Scary Any More, Routine Wellness and Reproductive Health, and Minimally Invasive GYNO Surgeries.  Kelli Coane, Chief Administrative Director of the Resource Connection, will lead that discussion about Empowering Individuals Seeking Freedom from Toxic Relationships. She will also offer a virtual tour of their facilities in both San Andreas and Murphys.

31. She continues to be engaged in MTMC efforts to raise breast cancer awareness in the foothill region after headlining the Steps to Kick Cancer event last year.

This virtual event is sponsored by Bank of Stockton, Calaveras Cancer Support Group, Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) & the Mark Twain Health Care District.

‘Stepping Up for Women’s Health’ will be hosted by retired Calaveras County School Superintendent Kathy Northington who serves as MTMC Community Board Chair; and Co hosted by Doug Archer, CEO and President of MTMC.
