Sonora, CA…Sonora’s Matthew Dale Miller was arrested for Evading Arrest, DUI, Drug Possession & outstanding warrants after an eventful vehicle chase and foot pursuit. Yesterday at 6:37pm a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated pursuit of a suspect in a 93 Acura Integra for a speed violation. The TSO Deputy lost sight of the suspect in the Twain Harte area.

A TSO Deputy initiated pursuit of same suspect shortly thereafter when sighted in Mi-Wuk. After briefly losing sight of the suspect who was at times driving without lights, TSO Deputies began pursuing the suspect westbound on SR-108 west of Mi-Wuk.

The suspect exited at Twain Harte and the pursuit traversed numerous streets in the Twain Harte area, where CHP joined the pursuit. The suspect fled from the Twain Harte area, through Crystal Falls and into the Phoenix Lake area. The suspect abandoned his vehicle on the Phoenix Lake Golf Course and fled on foot.

After a brief chase he was taken into custody by CHP Officer S. Warzee without incident.
