Covid Cases Continue to Rise in Tuolumne County with 67 New Cases Today

Sonora, CA…The latest from the Public Health Dept…”Our county has 67 new COVID-19 positive cases today. Of those, five are hospitalized and the remaining 62 are in isolation. They include: Under 20: 0 females, 8 males 20s: 9 females, 2 males 30s: 8 females, 5 males 40s: 4 females, 3 males 50s: 4 females, 2 males 60s: 6 females, 5 males 70s: 3 females, 5 males 80s: 2 females, 0 males 90s: 1 female, 0 males. Thirty-eight previously isolated cases were released from isolation today, including one hospitalized individual. And one previously isolated individual is now hospitalized.

The State released their Blueprint update today. Tuolumne County remains well into the purple tier with a case rate of 46.1 and test positivity rate of 8.6%. Learn more about the Blueprint for a Safer Economy here: www.covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/.

The Optum/LHI state test site will be offering increased testing capacity beginning next week at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. The site will be closed on Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving. Beginning Friday, the site will be open seven days a week and will offer an increased number of appointments several days a week.
