Sonora, CA….Tuolumne County is reporting 24 new COVID-19 cases today. Of today’s cases, 24 appear to be isolating at home. 10 cases remain hospitalized. Today’s new cases include: Under 20: Males – 0, Females – 1, 20s: Males – 3 Females – 2, 30s: Males – 2, Females – 2, 40s: Males – 0, Females – 1, 50s: Males – 1, Females – 1, 60s: Males – 0, Females – 5, Unknown Gender – 1, 70s: Males – 1, Females – 3, 80s: Males – 1, Females – 0, 90s: Males – 0, Females – 0
We are sad to report two additional COVID-19-related deaths. One individual was a male in his 50’s who had underlying medical conditions and was previously hospitalized. The other individual was a male in his 70’s who had underlying medical conditions and was previously hospitalized. The public health team sends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released new guidance on quarantine periods. Public Health staff is reviewing the updated guidance and will implement the new quarantine procedures in the coming days.
