Effective January 1st, 2021 Treated Wood Waste To Be Handled As Hazardous Waste

San Andreas, CA…EFFECTIVE 1/1/21, TREATED WOOD WASTE (TWW) must be handled and disposed of in compliance with state regulations as a hazardous waste.

 DUE TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA REGULATORY CHANGES* PERTAINING TO THE DISPOSAL OF TWW, The Rock Creek Landfill will accept only ½ cubic yard of residentially-generated TWW from a Calaveras County resident per calendar year

 TWW CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY OF THE COUNTY’S SATELITTE WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS.

 TWW INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: Fence Posts, Sill Plates, Landscape Timbers, Pilings, Decking, Patio Posts, Railroad Ties, Lumber used in-ground to define lawn and garden areas, etc. Identifiers of TWW may be an ink stamp on the wood or an end tag; or small, closely spaced cuts that resemble staple marks on the surface of the wood
