Sonora, CA…At approximately 7pm last evening our dispatch center received a call reporting a house fire on Canyonview Drive in Ponderosa Hills. When fire personnel extinguished the fire, one victim was located deceased inside the home. Tuolumne County Detectives were called to the scene and are conducting an investigation.

The decedent has not been identified, cause of death is unknown and the cause of the fire is being investigated. No further information is available at this time.
