New PET/CT is State-of-the Art 3D Technology for Higher Resolution Imaging at Mark Twain Medical Center.

San Andreas, CA…Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) has partnered with Shared Imaging for PET/CT services. “I am pleased to announce that MTMC has partnered with Shared Imaging for PET/CT services, remarked MTMC Director of Imaging Services, Gary Arvin. “The new venture with Shared Imaging has allowed MTMC access to 3D technology to enhance image resolution to provide the best care to our community. The new Siemens Biograph Horizon PET/CT scanner
uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) to improve the accuracy of the event localization that transfers two times more signal to noise and quicker scan times. What this means is a crisper image to allow for the radiologist to more accurately characterize suspicious lesions and to determine the response to cancer therapy and help guide treatment.

Additionally, we are excited to provide oncology services through Stockton Hematology/Oncology. Stockton Heme-Onc is a large group of highly skilled cancer specialists utilizing cutting edge therapies and treatments to help our patients to win their fight against cancer. As of January 13th, access to PET/CT services will be every other Wednesday. “
