Stockton, CA…We wanted to provide an update on power outages as we are through the worst of the storm. The good news is that we haven’t seen the massive outage activity that we had predicted, particularly in the lower elevations of Calaveras County and the Highway 26 area. There are almost 8,000 customers out in the upper Highway 4 area, from Arnold to Bear Valley due to wind and snow related damages. PG&E crews are very early in our process of assessing damage, so we are not able to provide good estimated times of restoration yet. I will keep you posted as we know more, and of course please reach out if you have any questions.
PG&E will be providing blankets, batteries, and bottled water at the Calaveras County warming center location at Murphys Fire Training Department, 58 Jones Street, Murphys (they are currently en route). Please spread the word to anybody that may need them.
Here is a link to the PG&E outage map, it includes an interactive address lookup tool and is constantly updated.
