Twain Harte, CA… This morning a 69 year old Twain Harte man was outside of his 2005 Jeep Wrangler at his residence while the vehicle was neutral the parking brake was not engaged and as a result the vehicle begin to roll backwards down the driveway with the driver hanging out of the drivers door traveling backwards in a southwesterly direction down the driveway and across Lizzie Lane and onto the dirt shoulder west of the roadway. The driver collided with a large boulder and the PG&E transformer on the dirt shoulder. As a result of the collision the driver sustained fatal injuries.
PG&E responded to the scene and turn the electricity off to the transformer causing a local power outage will they repair the damage alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this in this collision the driver was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center where he passed away
