Two Unrelated Drug Arrests in Valley Springs Area

Valley Springs, CA…On February 4, 2021, at about 12:40 PM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office probation liaison deputy was patrolling the Downtown Valley Springs area when he observed Jeremey Donald Sheets (46 years of age, Valley Springs) driving at a high rate of speed and crossing the center traffic lane. The liaison deputy, with the assistance of the off-highway vehicle deputy, attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop of Sheets. Sheets stopped his vehicle near a random residence and ran up the driveway. The deputies chased him and subsequently located him behind a fence. During the investigation, deputies learned that Sheets attempted to conceal suspected contraband as he ran. Deputies found approximately 18.4 grams of methamphetamine, two smoking pipes and several credit cards that were issued to other people. While questioning witnesses, Sheets attempted to dissuade witnesses from giving incriminating evidence/testimony to the deputies.

Jeremey Donald Sheets was taken into custody without incident and booked in the county jail and charged with 11378 H&S possession of controlled substance for sale, 11379 H&S transportation of controlled substance,11364 H&S possession of drug paraphernalia, 148 (a)(1) PC resist or obstruct peace officer, 135 PC attempt to conceal or destroy evidence, 466 PC possession of burglary tools, 136.1 (a)(1) PC attempt to dissuade witness,14601VC Drive while license suspended, 4000 (A) VC operate vehicle with expired registration and 21460 VC crossover double lines. He is being held with a total bail of $35,000.00.

On February 4, 2021, at about 11:00 PM, a deputy was patrolling with his K-9 partner when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Burson Post Office. The deputy contacted suspect Jennifer Erin Walker (49 years old from Woodbridge, CA). A records check revealed Jennifer had a felony warrant for possession of dangerous drugs, issued from the Superior Court of San Joaquin County. Jennifer was placed under arrest without incident. While searching her vehicle, the deputy located a total of 26.3 grams of methamphetamine.

Jennifer Erin Walker was taken into custody without incident and booked in the county jail with the following charges 11378 H&S possession of controlled substance for sale, 11364 H&S possession of drug paraphernalia and the warrant. She is being held with a total bail of $55,000.00.
