Columbia, CA… Today Corporal Andrew Long talked to local news media about how he helped save a man who was threatening to jump off a bridge.

Corporal Long along with the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, deputies, and boat patrol searched for the man for hours before finally reaching him. Just as the man was about to jump, Corporal Long reached out, grabbed his arm, and held on.

That man is now getting the support and help he needs. Thanks also to CHP, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, and Angels Camp PD.
