Valley Springs, CA…The sad notifications have been made to the victim’s family and the updated CHP Release is below. A juvenile was driving his Chevrolet eastbound on Double Springs Road, west of SR-26, entering a right hand curve. A motorcyclist was riding his Kawasaki westbound on Double Springs Road, west of SR-26, entering the same curve. Due to the juvenile’s speed, they allowed the Chevrolet to cross over the solid double yellow lines entering the eastbound lane directly in the path of the Kawasaki. This resulted in a head-on collision between the Chevrolet and the motorcycle. The motorcycle rider was ejected during the collision. Due to the collision, the motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased on scene.

The juvenile was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center.

Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
