Vallecito, CA…(Update….Gabriel Goszulak, 16 from Arnold has passed away) A 16 year old Murphys man was driving a 2007 Mini eastbound on State Route 4 east of Vallecito Bypass Road, at a high rate of speed. For an unknown reason he unsafely turned from a direct course of travel to the left. The mini spun out of control in an easterly direction, traveling across the opposing lane and off the north side of the roadway. Subsequently, the Mini struck multiple trees at multiple angles. The Mini came to rest in a tree with the front tires elevated.

The driver sustained major injuries and was transported by life flight to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. An Angels Camp teen sustained major injuries and was transported to Mark Twian Medical Center for treatment. Another minor passenger from Arnold sustained major injuries and he was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center and then transferred to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
