Pickup vs Bus Stop Collision Leads to DUI Arrest of Mi Wuk Village Woman

Sonora, CA…On March 24, 2021, at approximately 8:20 pm, 33-year-old Stephanie Foster of Mi Wuk Village was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 pick-up truck westbound on Mono Way along with her 1-year-old toddler. She allowed her vehicle to travel off the north roadway edge, over a sidewalk and crashed into a bus stop kiosk located in front of the Indian Rock Center.

CHP Officers arrived on scene and after further investigation, it was determined that Ms. Foster was under the influence of a controlled substance and subsequently placed under arrest. It was also determined the toddler was in an improperly used child seat during the crash. Fortunately, the toddler did not suffer any injuries and was released to the care of the Child Welfare Services.

Ms. Foster was transported to the Tuolumne County Jail and prior to her arrival it was discovered that she was concealing what is believed to be Methamphetamine and Heroin on her person. She was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for DUI, Felony Child endangerment and drug charges.
