Twain Harte, CA…Yesterday we reported on an ATV rollover collision off of Lazy Z Lane. Tragically it ended with the death of the involved. From Sonora CHP today…”On April 6, 2021, at approximately 2:10 pm, an 81-year-old male from Sonora was riding his 2006 Kawasaki 650 ATV while traversing up a steep hill on his property. For unknown reasons, the ATV stalled and began to roll backwards. The rider attempted to steer the ATV as it was rolling backwards which caused him to get ejected and hit a tree. Subsequently, the ATV rolled over onto its side and landed on top of the rider.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and began to perform life saving measures, but unfortunately the rider succumbed to his injuries. During the investigation, it was determined the rider was not wearing a helmet and Alcohol or Drugs are not suspected to be a factor in this crash. The identity of the rider is being held pending notification to the family.”
