Eric Eugene Rummerfield Jr. Pursued By Officers & Dogs, Tazed, Caught & Arrested After Two Hour Chase

West Point, CA…On 10/25/2015, at approximately 1703 hours, Officer J. Wion was traveling southbound on Bummerville Road, south of Winton Road when he attempted to make a stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations. As Officer J. Wion attempted to make an enforcement stop the driver/suspect failed to comply and a pursuit through West Point ensued. The pursuit terminated at the intersection of SR-26 and Woodhouse Mine Road. The driver/suspect exited the vehicle but failed to comply with Officers commands. The driver/suspect was TAZED but continued to flee on foot. An allied agencies K-9 was deployed and the driver/suspect was successfully taken into custody. The driver/suspect was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on multiple firearm, drug and resisting arrest related charges.
