Ashley is Your Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week

San Andreas, CA…Meet Ashley, a very pretty two-year-old black and white tuxedo. Ashley is at the shelter because her owner passed away and there were no family members who could care for her. After a period of adjustment, Ashley is now friendly and loving -Temptations chicken cat treats being the way to her heart. She enjoys gentle petting, her silky coat being brushed, lap time and playing with her “feather on a string” toy. One of her favorite things, though, is simply sitting on a comfy cushion and gazing out the window. Ashley would likely do best in a calm environment with adults, perhaps older children and one without other cats or dogs.

Ashley is also up-to-date on her routine vaccinations and has been micro-chipped. Already spayed, she can go home with you today!

Come visit Ashley, impound no. AO52543, along with other cats and dogs awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). For more information about this kitty, please email Animal Services volunteer Cynthia at clpino@caltel.com, Kathy at kbandy.co.calaveras.ca.us or call Animal Services directly at 754-6509.

Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity,
the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered is $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
