Pine Grove, CA…On April 25, 2021, at approximately 1940 hours, CHP Amador officers were dispatched to a vehicle vs. structure collision on State Route 88 near Ranch Rd. The Mokelumne Hill man allowed his vehicle to cross out of the SR 88 westbound lane, across the eastbound lane, and down the dirt embankment. The vehicle ultimately collided into an unoccupied daycare center causing major structural damage. In addition, he sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Alcohol and/or drugs are considered to be a factor in this collision.
