Arnold, CA…The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is conducting a prescribed burn project at the Arnold Forest Fire Station. This project is located south of the community of Arnold and will be visible from Highway 4. Smoke may be visible in the area during the prescribed burn.

This prescribed burn is designed to reduce forest fuels in an approximate 8-acre area around the CAL FIRE Arnold Forest Fire Station.

The burn is scheduled to begin and conclude on April 30, 2021. Resources assigned to the VMP will consist of 3 engines, 1 crew, and cooperating agencies.

Burning operations will be conducted from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. contingent on favorable conditions.
