Manteca, CA…On May 1st 2021, Sergeant Leon received the Veterans of Foreign Wars State of California Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award at a Valley Chapter meeting in Manteca, CA. Sergeant Leon was nominated by the local Copperopolis VFW Chapter for recognition and sincere appreciation of his dedication and selfless service to the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office.
