Calaveras County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 4 and 49. Work is scheduled to occur as follows: Route 4:One-way traffic control from Pennsylvania Gulch Road to Mitchler Street for pavement work from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, as part of the center, left-turn lane project in Murphys. Rolling lane closure from Pennsylvania Gulch Road to Mitchler Street for striping operations from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, as part of the center, left-turn lane project in Murphys. Route 49:One-way traffic control from Cosgrove Road to Angels Road in San Andreas for shoulder work beginning Monday, August 16, through Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
