Angels Camp, CA…The men of the US Navy Heavy Attach Photographic Squadrons 61 & 62 (VAP-61 & 62) would like to thank the following wineries for the generous contribution to our annual reunion which took place October 14th through 18th this year in Reno, NV.

It was such an honor and humbling experience to bring some of the very finest California wines from our region to the reunion. These very high quality wines were very much enjoyed by the men who were astonished at the wonderful generosity these wineries so willingly contributed to the event.

We Vietnam vets stayed in the shadows for a long time and now to see an outpouring of gratitude and respect for us is overwhelming at times. This is much different than the less than welcoming reception we received from the public when returning home. This antithetical welcoming played a role in how uncomfortable many were in speaking about their service and experiences.
