Arnold, CA…We are starting server upgrades this weekend. The new multi-server architecture should give us several times the processing and storage of our current setup. Everything should look the same on the viewer side but more so. During peak traffic our page times have deteriorated to where an upgrade was definitely needed. It is humbling and an honor for so many of you to have ThePineTree.net as part of your information gathering habit.

You might occasionally see some additional 404s or page not found errors until all the parts are in their new places but we hope to have the upgrade process done by mid-week.

In June ThePineTree.net had 214,000 of you visit us. We know we need to earn those visits every minute of every day. We had stretched our old servers until they just had no more capacity to deliver. All of our old infrastructure will remain in place as well with our new equipment just adding abut 10x the throughput and 3 times the storage.

Since 2005 local news has been our passion, career & business. We hope we can earn your visits for many, many more years to come.
