Paloma, CA…Helen M. Berry, July 20, 1933 ~ September 1, 2021 (age 88). It’s with great sadness that we say goodbye to a very special lady. God has another angel today. Helen Marie née Craig Harrison Berry was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, widow, sister in Christ and friend. She is survived by all of us honored to call her by those names, and much missed.
She was a long time employee of Calaveras County in the Auditor Controllers office working with county payroll, a proud Grandmother by blood and affection happy to share her sweet treats, a proud member of the Paloma Community Open Bible Church where she recently enjoyed a potluck, and a long time supporter of youth livestock and athletic programs
She is predeceased by her beloved dog Buddy, her parents Tom and Elsie Craig, her son Tom Harrison, her stepsons Rex, Jason and Teddy Berry, her husband Rod Harrison and her husband Carlton Berry.
Helen recently said if she’s not around to do it, make sure to hug your mom, your kids or grand babies, your dog, and everyone you really don’t want to hug that you think probably needs a hug.
If you want to remember or honor Helen, follow her advice to get stubborn and do the things important to you. Love your friends and family; donate in time, or money to your church, or her Paloma Community Open Bible Church, your local youth sports or the Calaveras Quarterback Club, the Humane Society, your local junior livestock program or the Cattlemen’s Club.
