San Andreas, CA…The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce announced today that Chief Executive Officer, Morgan Gace, will be resigning to pursue a new opportunity outside of the Chamber. Her resignation is effective November 11, 2021, however she will assume the role as Interim CEO as the Board begins the search for her successor.
“Leaving the Chamber is an incredibly difficult decision that came after much reflection. Serving the businesses and community of Calaveras County over the past couple of years has been such a privilege. Despite the challenges, adapting the organization to the needs of our business community during the pandemic was beyond rewarding.”
Cheryl Hoag, President of the Board, said, “On behalf of the Board, we are so grateful to Morgan for her service and the many accomplishments achieved during her tenure as CEO, particularly the business recovery support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of her leadership, the Chamber has made tremendous progress in its relevance and support to members and the greater business community alike. We wish Morgan the very best in her new endeavors.”
Morgan will continue to support operations at the Chamber part-time until her replacement is chosen. “We’re confident that despite [Morgan’s] reduced involvement, the Chamber will remain active and strong until the new appointed CEO takes over.”
