Bear Valley, CA…After much anticipation, we are finally ready to start the lifts back up, and we welcome you to join us on our opening day next Saturday, December 18th! With the warm weather these last few weeks, we’ve all been sitting on the edge of our seats hoping and praying for snow, and mother nature has finally answered! We picked up 5″ of snow last night, with likely more on the way towards the end of the weekend and through this next week. Our Mountain Operations team is taking full advantage of the cooler weather, and we are blowing snow like crazy!

We’re set to kick off the season and have lots going on for our opening weekend! We will have live music later Saturday afternoon on the Sun Deck, Our Teams programs have their first training weekend, Reba Sports will be open for all your equipment needs, our guest services team will be ready to assist with season pass pick up, our Monte Wolfe bar will be open along with Sky High Pizza in the village. We’ve received many questions about preferred parking for this season since adding in the new parking hut right above Koala corner. Rest assured that parking on Koala corner is still FREE, but this area is first come, first serve and will not be reserved for pass holders. The lower lot is still the preferred parking lot, and costs will remain the same. $20 per vehicle, $30 for trailers and RV’s and $30 for overnight parking.

The village shuttle bus will be returning this season. Pick up will be at the Bear Valley Lodge, and it will cost $1 per trip. We are still finalizing the schedule for this, but once it’s ready, we will share it on our website and social channels.
