Valley Springs, CA.A Female was traveling eastbound on SR-12 east of Wards Ave in a Dodge Neon at an unknown speed, approaching an Chevrolet. The driver of the pickup was traveling westbound at 55 miles per hour. It was raining at the time and the roadway was wet. For unknown reasons the driver of the Dodge allowed her vehicle to cross over the solid double yellow lines and into the westbound lane, directly in the path of the pickup. The driver of the Chevrolet was unable to avoid the Dodge Neon and the front of his impacted the front of the Dodge. The impact pushed the Dodge off of the road and it came to rest on the south shoulder. The pickup came to rest partially off the roadway on the north shoulder.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected as a factor in this collision.
