Valley Springs, CA…The sad notifications have been made and CHP San Andreas has released the full details. Makayla Matlock Moody, 25 from Stockton was traveling eastbound on SR-12 in Vehicle #1 (Dodge) at an unknown speed, approaching Vehicle #2 (Chevrolet). Party #2 (Fredrickson) was traveling westbound in Vehicle #2 at 55 miles per hour. It was raining at the time and the roadway was wet. For unknown reasons Party #1 allowed Vehicle #1 to cross over the solid double yellow lines and into the westbound lane, directly in the path of Vehicle #2. Party #2 was unable to avoid Vehicle #1 and the front of Vehicle #2 impacted the front of Vehicle #1. The impact pushed Vehicle #1 off of the road and it came to rest on the south shoulder. Vehicle #2 came to rest partially off the roadway on the north shoulder.

Drugs and/or alcohol are not suspected as a factor in this collision.
