Hey Good People!! Bear Valley’s 21/22 Season of Pure Mountain Fun Starts Now!! (Soft Opening Today!)

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Friday morning. A little break from the recent storms with a beautiful sunny day ahead and the high coming in at 33F. 66″ of new snow has graced Bear Valley and the riding is off the hook. ENE winds will prevail today as the system heads east last night so we’ll see wind values in the teens with some gusting into the 20’s. Saturday through Monday now looks clear and sunny with daytime highs in the low to mid 30’s. So, next week active snowfall patterns will bring up to 2′ of new snow and possibly more from late Tuesday night into Thursday.

This mornings ensembles show good long wave troughing developing off the West Coast with heavy snow expected above 5000′ for that event. A second system lingers out beyond with a bit less amplification. The timing of those systems and trajectory will be the focal point for forecasters over the next 10 days or so. Central California fairs to be the recipient of good snowfall production whether the system favors a Southern or Northern track.

Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction 2 months ago…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season! Stay tuned.

We look forward to skiing and riding with all ya’ll very soon.
Cheers,
Mattly
