Hey Good People!! Santa is on the Slopes & Pure Mountain Fun Awaits at Bear Valley!!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Thursday morning. 6″ of new snow has fallen overnight and continues to fall as I write. The forecasts vs. actual is being tested the last 48hrs. Warm air continues to play its hand in keeping the snow elevations a bit higher than suggested. So roughly we have been seeing the lower end of the forecast totals in the last 36hrs but it’s dumping non the less and there are smiles across the miles. Today we could see up to 11″ during the day and another 5-9″ tonight if the cooler air mass plays its hand correctly.

Christmas Day things certainly look to ramp up as the trough off the West Coast will continue to regurgitate itself onto the West Coast bringing heavy snowfall through the weekend and well into the next week. Snow elevations will gradually drop through today and crash into the low teens overnight bringing snowfall down to the 3500-4000′ range. Christmas Day 19-25″, Christmas Night 10-16″, @6th 5-9″, @6th overnight 16-22″ before tapering off.

As we close in on the New Year, colder temps look to drop down into the West Coast with a very good possibility of inside slider activity moving into the New Year and on into the first week or so of January.

Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction 2 months ago…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season! Stay tuned.

Pure Mtn Fun is our ethos so come on up and check us out.

We look forward to skiing and riding with all ya’ll very soon.
Cheers,
Mattly
