Murphys Ca Calaveras Recovers From The Butte Fire

Sharing an event announcement for one of our local Calaveras Recovers team partners: This meeting event is open to the public and we especially invite volunteers, community leaders, and Directors of any recovery efforts for the Butte Fire to attend a meeting at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Murphys at 9:30a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015.

The gathering will include Mr. Zach Wolgemuth, Executive Director of the United Church of Christ Disaster Ministries and Rev. Dr. Melinda V. McLain, Northern California Nevada Conference United Church of Christ, Disaster Ministry Coordinator.

They are especially interested in hearing about the recovery efforts already being done and what organizations are working on this process. The meeting will last approximately 1½ hours. Coffee and refreshments will be served.

The church is located at 509 North Algiers Street and the corner of Church Street. We are one block up the hill from Murphys Hotel. It is a white historic church with a beautiful steeple.
