San Andreas, CA…Douglas K. Sutherland, April 25th 1939 – December 8th 2016. Doug Sutherland, 76, of San Andreas, CA passed away on December 8, 2015 of natural causes following a battle with cancer. His wife, son, and closest friend were by his side.

Doug was born in Oakland, CA in 1939. After Graduating from Oakland Tech High School in 1957, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve and served with them until 1963. After raising their family and operating a successful marine business in Fort Bragg, CA, he and wife Jill moved to San Andreas where they have made their home since 2003.
Doug is survived by Jill, his wife of 44 years; son Doug (wife Donna), daughter Kerri (husband Patrick); and grandchildren Jacob, Jessica, Grace, and Anne.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Sutherland and Pauline Krontz; step-father Gene Krontz, and sister Christine Feathers.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on January 10, 2016 at the American Legion Hall, 1305 N. 1st Street, Dixon, California 95620.
