Hey Good People!! Your Pure Mountain Fun Awaits at Bear Valley!!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! We broke our all time December record for snowfall on Dec 29th at 8am with the new record being 161″. Mattly’s weather forecast for Saturday. As strong high pressure ridging off the West Coast of Oregon influences today’s forecast we’ll see a sunny day ahead with windy conditions in the a.m. hours before the winds decide to lessen as the afternoon approaches. 35F is the slated high for the day yet with wind values into the 50mph range this morning the temperature looks to dip into the single digits from wind chill. Some delays this morning with chair operations are possible and there is a possibility that the winds may disrupt lift service through out the day very similar to yesterday for the morning hours. Sunday things will settle back down as the surface gradients lessen and give way to a more mild type of sunny day during our Junuary phase of the season.

Temps will return to the low to mid 40’s for the high over the next week. Continued high pressure will remain for the next 7-10 days with the MJO still looking to have a bit of influence on the Pacific weather pattern come the end of January. Stay tuned!

Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction 3 months ago…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season!
Pure Mtn Fun is our ethos so come on up and check us out.

Cheers,
Mattly
