Hey Good People! Bluebird Skies & Beautiful Conditions at Bear Valley!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Sunday. Before I dig in I wanted to explain the “Junuary” I’ve posted over the last week. It was pointed out to me yesterday while working the parking lot that I misspelled January. I said to the guest not really, It’s a blend of January and June for Junuary given the fact that January temps and weather has felt like June weather, haha! I hope all ya’ll get that one! Now on to the forecast.

Another beautiful sunny day is ahead with clear skies and a high of 44F and a lite ENE wind up to 10mph. Monday the ridge will move onshore giving the trough a trajectory towards the Great Basin which will bring breezy conditions to the area on Tuesday morning. With the surface gradients tightening up Tuesday and Wednesday we could see gusting into the 50’s before exiting come Thursday morning. Some chair delays and or wind holds may be possible so check in Tuesday morning for that 411.

Dry weather will remain for the extended forecast with the 2nd week of February gaining some ground as the models are encouraging for snowfall production around that time frame. All aspects of the mtn are open for skiing and riding so ask Ski Patrol at the summit what’s good and we’ll give the 411.
Stay tuned!
Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season!
Cheers,
Mattly
