Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Monday. Februaugust……I heard someone say that this morning. The week kicks off with the beginning of a slight warming trend. 38F was the temperature at 5am at the snow study plot and temperatures heading towards 50F by Friday are likely. Today 46F is the target with a lite North wind coupled with beautiful clear skies, great grooming and off-piste riding currently for exceptional skiing and riding all around the resort.
Moving through the week, the temperature will slowly gain and by Friday 50-52F is slated. Winds also over the next few days will be breezy as gradients tighten and down slope winds increase during the morning hours. A short wave looks to be on the horizon in about a weeks time per this mornings model runs. The European model is a bit stronger in a weather pattern change but nothing to greatly note about at this time.
The 3rd week of Februaugust has the best agreement on snowfall. Until then, it’s high pressure and sunny skies so don’t forget your sunscreen as we move through the next few weeks.
Stay tuned!
Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season!
Cheers,
Mattly
